Marriage License Requirements


  • $75.00-cash or cheque payable to Township of Hornepayne
  • Expires three months from date of issue.
  • If divorced, you require original or Court certified copies of papers or Certificate of Divorce (issued by Canadian Courts only).
  • Appointments not required. Come in to Township office to pick up an application.

Lottery Licensing


The Corporation of the Township of Hornepayne has the authority to issue lottery licenses for the majority of lottery schemes in our municipality.


The alcohol and Gaming Commission issues the licenses that local municipalities cannot, such as, raffles over $50,000, bingos over $5,500.


Charitable groups that raise funds through gaming are required to apply for lottery licensing eligibility before any licenses will be issues. Approved groups are required to report their profits and indicate what the profits are being used for.


The fee structure set-up by the Township of Hornepayne is 3% of the prize awarded within the lottery, whether it is a bingo, raffle or break open ticket lottery.
