Recreation and leisure are increasingly important in today’s stressful world. The Township strives to provide recreational opportunities for residents and visitors with the aim of encouraging physical activity and social interaction while maintaining or improving quality of life. parks & rec

Whether it be hockey, curling, cross country skiing, baseball, soccer, taking advantage of one of the several privately run exercise programs or simply walking, opportunities for a healthy lifestyle are readily available.

The R.W. Anderson Outdoor Recreational Park on Front Street offers a creative playground, swings, a tennis court, soccer field and baseball diamond. A second playground is located on Riverside Drive. Gabby Park on Third Avenue offers a place to relax and watch the world go by. Cedar Point Park offers swimming.
