Client Services Manager/Treasurer

The Treasurer is appointed by Municipal Council to oversee the financial operations of the Municipality and to fulfill the statutory requirements of the Municipal Act and applicable By-Laws.

The Treasurer’s primary functions include:

• Managing the Finance Department;
• Providing financial leadership to Municipal Council and the Municipality with regard to budgets, investments, capital financing, and financial policies in general;
• Overseeing the issuance of property tax billing, utility billing, accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable;
• Responsible for varied corporate services including procurement, legal, insurance and risk management; and,
• Developing and distributing financial reports to Municipal Council, CAO/Clerk and other departments within the Municipality.

This position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk and is a member of the Township of Hornepayne’s management team.
