Ontario Provincial Police

The Township of Hornepayne is policed by the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) with the local detachment office located 17 Becker Road.

The Detachment Commander is stationed in nearby Wawa, Ontario. Visit the OPP website for more information.

The O.P.P. thoroughly endorses Community Policing - a concept based on partnership between the police and the community.

The ultimate goal of this co-operative partnership between the community and the police is a safe, secure and peaceful community.

The O.P.P. is a fully modern organization designed to meet the needs of the public whether it be law enforcement, community services, victims' assistance, seniors' issues or general safety concerns.

Increased participation in seasonal recreational activities ensures adherence to the laws and reduces unsafe practices.

The R.I.D.E. program is scheduled throughout the year to ensure compliance under the Motor Vehicle Act, the Criminal Code and the Liquor License Act.

The dedication, co-operation and support of the community reinforces the vital partnership in assisting the O.P.P. to maintain a safe, secure and peaceful community.

Contact the O.P.P at (888) 310-1122 or 911 for emergencies only!
